1. Controller

2. Provision and hosting

FootPilot is hosted by Render Services, Inc. When the service is accessed, technically necessary connection and server data may be processed, in particular IP address, time, requested resource and browser/device information. This processing serves the secure and functional provision of FootPilot (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Render may process data in the United States and states that safeguards include the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Local settings

FootPilot does not require a user account. Favourite teams, language, TV country and notification settings are stored in the local storage of the browser or installed web app. The browser time zone is used to display match times correctly. Local data remains stored until you change it or delete the website/app data on your device.

4. Push notifications

Push notifications are activated only when you explicitly enable them and grant notification permission in your browser or device. FootPilot then stores the technical push subscription (push endpoint and encryption keys), a randomly generated device ID, your favourite teams, enabled reminder types and selected app language on the server. These data are used only to send the match and top-match reminders you requested. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you disable both FootPilot reminders, the server-side push subscription and associated push data are deleted The technical push subscription in the browser or on the device may remain locally; without server-side registration FootPilot cannot send notifications through it. Invalid push endpoints are also removed automatically. You can additionally revoke system notification permission at any time in your device or browser settings.

5. Football and TV data

Match, competition and TV data are retrieved server-side through the Sportmonks API. FootPilot does not transmit personal data of end users to Sportmonks as part of these requests.

6. No analytics or advertising trackers

The current version of FootPilot contains no analytics, profiling or advertising trackers. If such services are introduced later, this privacy notice will be updated before they are activated.

7. Retention

Local settings remain until changed or the website/app data is deleted on your device. Push data is retained while at least one FootPilot reminder is enabled and the push subscription remains valid. The associated server-side push data is deleted when both reminders are disabled or a permanently invalid push endpoint is detected. Technical server data is retained only as long as necessary for operation, security and troubleshooting or as provided by the hosting provider's technical logging.

8. Recipients and international transfers

Render Services, Inc. may process technical data and server-side data required for push as part of hosting. Processing in the United States is possible. Personal data is otherwise disclosed only where necessary for operation or required by law.

9. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
